Ancestors and me

I’m Janet Gahagan, and I’ve been interested in genealogy since I was very young. When I was 15, we went to visit our relatives in Kansas, and I made my very first chart of my Grandpa Gahagan’s brothers and sisters and their children.

I failed to adequately foresee how much space I’d need for a family of nine!

As time permitted over the years, I’d dive back in. I learned a lot, had some very interesting chats with older relatives, and inherited a LOT of old pictures. It’s become increasingly clear that I’m never going to write that book, so I decided to share what I know a little bit at a time.

I’m always interested in learning more, so anything you can contribute will be welcome.
